About This Game The Exiled is a fast-paced PvP game set in a forsaken valley. Game worlds last for up to one month. Open PvP and Full Loot mean that you will to constantly balance risk and reward. Find a group of friends and form a clan to thrive in the valley. Cooperate or conquer, craft or combat; every decision is critical as you seek to flourish in a forsaken valley. A classless system means you shape your character to fit your style of play. TL DR : game has potential, good combat, it is free for season 3 (at least a months worth of freeplay).be aware of the risk you are taking though. In my opinion the game really deserves a chance.Keep an eye on this one, the combat already feels good. WASD movement + skillshots, combat feels fluent, active and skill based.Major problem is tough literally no players online. And content seems limited, grind to upgrade skills/gear in order to pvp it seems. if you want to try it out, the free version is a 7 day trial, you got basically nothing to loose. This game might fail for whatever reason, however at least the devs got one thing right for sure, the combat. My recommendation is to follow the game and seems how it turns out, that is what I will be doing.EDIT 21/04/2017After spending some more time ingame, I think the game really does at least deserve a chance. I really think this has potential, however it does need a stable playerbase. On that note though a few hundred players would be enough to get it going. Do note though this is a risk, this might turn into something great. Or it will crash and burn in a catastrophic way. But you don't have much lose (only time) since the game is free for season 3. + great soundtrack+ combat+ style (personal opinion)- not user friendly- lacking playerbase. Really fun, somewhat skill based free pvp.Also buggy, laggy, and lacking content.But fun enough to play for a week. Really enjoying this game so far! Combat is fun and controls seem solid (minus occasional lag). The lootable player corpses and chance to lose your equipped weapon make dying punishing enough to feel impactful, yet still fair. Definititely needs some work/bug fixes but I see the potential in it. Once you log in I would join a guild asap, game definitely isn't built for solo play (although you can still outplay the 1v2). Not sure if there's a limit to guild size, and I'm wondering how this will affect play later on (will guilds with a massive amount of players rule the servers?). In game voice works really well, making it easy to coordinate team fights right away.If you don't like games with pvp or are wanting something that you can play solo, I'd look elsewhere. Overall a really fun team pvp oriented game. Gonna try and put in more hours to decide if I want to buy it or not, but so far so good!. Why did it take 15 years to bring back great online gaming? 10/10. 1. same old rubberbanding/lag issues still there after 2 years in alpha2. impossible to play solo, you cannot level up abilities/gear past a certain point unless you join a big clan that has a holding with the proper ability/gear crafting stations. All map events are advertised and shown on the map to everyone on the server so solo players can't do anything else than grind PvE until a zerg clan ganks them and takes all their items3. half of the abilities are useless4. EU servers are mostly composed of russian clans who zerg all solo players and kill them at spawnpoints5. advertises "no grind", in reality new players have to grind garbage PvE for days in one of the few mobspawns in the whole map for randomly dropped ability scrolls from mobs and "reagents" to learn/upgrade new skills, plus eat EXP items so they can get things like more skillbar slots (and hope they don't die on the way back to a public ability-crafting-station so they don't lose all the items they farmed for)6. if players don't donate lots of items to a magical trashbin in a certain timelimit, the whole world on your server gets deleted, which means everything except characters get reset (again, enforces everyone to play in huge clans so they can farm the free resources next to their holdings)7. probably changed name from "das tal" to "the exiled" just to avoid bad reputationTL;DR: trash game, will never get fixed. Decided to re-do my review as it's the end of season 5.It is exactly what it claims to be : A open world MOBA of sorts with a customized character based on weapon/armor choice, sieges, full PVP, full loot (with some conditions), and events which can be contested by anyone regardless of who starts it.If you are expecting "amazing" PVE or "dungeons", this is not the place. The focus is PVP and it provides it to the best of it's ability, but it lacks population currently due to "7 day trail" periods.The major downfall of this game is it "needs" population to actually function as well as "resets" every "season" which currently is in 1 month intervals where you must restart completely. You will need to level, gear up, farm, unlock the map, and claim your settlements all over again each "Season".On the plus side to these seasons, it doesn't allow someone to stay in power constantly on the best settlements. But this does not mean they cannot claim them on the next Season, it simply means they will lose their stockpile of resources so they can't just throw bodies/equipment out constantly.Another major flaw with seasons/trails is that when a season ends, you must wait an entire day which means those with a trail will lose an entire day of play without any access.~Example~Season End : July 12th 4:30AM ESTNew Season : July13th 4:30AM EST (Unless there's delay on it's restart...)Anything else should be covered below.Most lag/errors seem to be resolved besides a bit of rubberbanding and getting stuck in objects. Error 418 does not seem to happen anymore to my knowledge.A party system was added for those who wish to team with others without being in the same clan.Cloth armor was added which honestly feels broken in group play between sheltering link, protective link, and CC/debuff AoE cleanses. For solo play tho, this armor is not recommended.Splint Mail is the hardest armor to use still, mostly due to lack of self-sustain. It does have it's uses tho.Leather has high self-sustain and decent mobility while Robe has heavy mobility, possible 100% crowd control immunity, and solid CC. It is recommended that you go one of these two armors.Most weapons are balanced to some degree but I have released videos to explain what each ability does as well as base stats.This game is strictly for people looking for harsh PVP as truthfully all other areas are lacking.- Friendly Fire : You can hit allies with damage and enemies with heals, be mindful of where you aim as well as where you are positioned.- Full Looot : Truthfully is only the inventory but there is a mechanic in place to drop equipment.- Equipment Drop Rate : When you die the chance to drop your equipment is raised, press "C" to find out the current chance to drop. Higher grades of weapons/armor are more likely to drop without any deaths.- PVE Events : Aren't exactly "fun" after awhile but are required if you wish to quickly claim a settlement, advance farther up the map if it has not already been unlocked, and can be stolen by passing players.- "This is mine" : Just because you start an event doesn't mean it stays yours, you can be killed or kept out of the "capture" zone until someone else claims ownership. If you want to secure loot, secure the objective and do not allow others outside of clan/party to stand within the black ring.- Contestable Territory : Settlements have a lengthy siege process, which does not mean it's 100% safe. Even if it is not under siege, players can pass through gates when you open them even without access, once inside however they can open it for others wanting to come in.- Alliances : There is an alliance and enemy system as well as options to allow clans or individuals access to all buildings but must be added by those with access to do show.. it's open world w/o class restrictions+it's free-too bad too few ppl for a clan-abit dull in the current state, it's good if u've friends to play with-need some events to make it more exciting...
